    I may have asked you this before, don't remember, but where in Montana do you live? I was born in Glasgow,  raised on a farm/ranch outside of Opheim, and once I retired from the Army, I bought property south of Dillon, which I stayed there for 3 1/2 yrs, sold out and move to Post Falls, ID, when I landed a teaching position at Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA.  My wife is from Columbia Falls.

    Another subject, are you using paint.net for repaints? I think Rick Bynum said you might be. I just started repainting MSFS a/c, and I was initially using PaintShop Pro, but I found a youtube video of a guy using paint.net. I'm starting to like it better, as it's easier to use. I used PSP for years repainting FSX and P3d a/c.

      Hi Larry,

      Thanks for the response, Larry. Didn't know you had created scenery for X-Plane, or I would've tried 'em out. I was creating scenery for Orbx (FSX/P3d) for a couple of years. I had created five or six Montana, a couple of Wyoming and Texas airports for Orbx. I'm thinking of trying to create MSFS scenery now, however, I just started doing MSFS repaints (keeping me busy). 

      I've been retired for a few years, got my pilot's license in '04, flew for about a year, then it just got too expensive for me. I then gave it up. Drove through Stevensville back in '06 or '07. That whole area down there was nice country.

      When the Glasgow Industrial was the AFB, went there many times to watch the airshows the AF put on. As I mentioned I grew up in Opheim, about 30 miles north of the base.

      Uncertain whether this change is coming in 2024 to 2020  or with version 2024.  but I heard M$ is going to allow scenery creators to upload to a M$ maintained site where they would be freely available for everyone. So create a scenery for ABC airport,  fly to ABC in the sim and there your curated scenery would be.  Before I go though the agony of learning M$ scenery creation tool,  I want to make sure my creations are available without the non-sense of downloading from flightsim.to and the hassle with the Community Folder.   It's M$ so I am not holding my breath.

      Thanks for the info, Larry. I'm with you then. Right now, I'm learning to exclude objects (trees, buildings, etc). If you fly to the Opheim area, in MSFS, there are waaaayy too many trees.

    Are you seriously shopping for an RTX-3080?   If so my RTX-4090 arrived and works OK so my RTX-3080 is surplus to me.   I bought it new from NewEgg in Spring of 2022 An Asus brand with all their supposedly upgraded components.  Looks like it's now out of stock at NEgg.

    If you are interested, let me know.   Maybe you could make a donation to your favorite charity, and I'll send it to you?

      I may be interested. I need to check to see if it will fit in my computer, can't check until I finish this flight. What would you need for it? How did it do with MSFS?

      Also how thick is the card, it's listed as 2.7 slots, how thick is that in inches?
